Sweets for my Feet Pt.4 - Burberry Prorsum Shearling Boots

Last week I took these babies out for their maiden voyage and took some quick snaps before (I thought) I was going to use them. I then realized it was too warm to wear them, so back in their box they went. Ah well, soon, my pretties, very soon...

Chloe in Motion

I recently posted a video featuring Australian label Lover in balletic motion. Chloe's most recent Spring/Summer collection was also ballet inspired, and I was so happy to come across this beautifully ethereal video featuring NYC Ballet principal Janie Taylor, dancing in several Chloe SS'11 outfits. I just had to share it with you all:

Janie Taylor for Chloé on Nowness.com.

*sigh*

Just had to watch it again...so beautiful...

Sweets for my Sweets

Yesterday, I finally got the chance to check out a new Patisserie I've been dying to try. What I loved most about the place was its attention to details:

Pistachio choc & raspberry mousse dessert...I loved the dehydrated raspberries used as garnish on the plate. The fork had a cute smiley face on it, too cute!

Mmmmmmmacarons - blueberry (front) & salted caramel (back)

Watermelonade served with cute shaped ice cubes

How cute are the little puddings in the jars on the top left corner?

Beautiful texture...little pieces of honeycomb as garnish were just a delight! The blueberry macaron had tiny pieces of dehydrated blueberries

So cute...

Scrambled macarons anyone?

Cookie 'lollipops'

Of course, I had to take some macarons home with me...

Mandinka - Sporty but Nice

Mandinka, an Israeli label, is a collaboration between designer Tali Tene and photographer Shimi Bar. Their recent Spring/Summer 2011 collection has a sporty vibe with architectural lines, clean shapes and fluid fabrics, creating a fresh casual elegance, with very wearable pieces.

www.mandinka.co.il

This Spring/Summer collection will soon be available in their online store, but for now their Autumn/Winter range is on sale. It is worth looking at their A/W'11 lookbook, as looking at the pieces on their own does not do them justice. I like the idea that one can purchase a whole 'look', for those who struggle with knowing what to wear with what, or at least it offers some inspiration on how to wear their pieces. My favourite pieces are their draped outerwear and tops:

Oak NYC - Free Domestic AND International Shipping for Brigadeiro readers!

Oak NYC has been one of my favourite online stores for quite a few years, boasting a carefully and well-selected range of labels and pieces (great range of prices too), I love the way the photograph and present their clothes/looks. With brands/designers like Helmut Lang, Acne, Alexander Wang, Finsk, Pleasure Principle and Kai-Aakman, it is hard to browse this store without adding some/several pieces to one's 'shopping list/wishlist'. Oh, they have great menswear too!

From now until Friday, Oak NYC is offering free Domestic and International Shipping to Brigadeiro readers when you click on the link below and enter the free shipping code. Run, don't walk to this online store!

Dries Van Noten Embellished Orbis Clutch

The detailing on this psychedelic clutch was so incredible, that I could not resist it. The pleated orbis-printed silk, the multilayered sequins, and the orbis* print on the clutch itself makes me want to hang this on the wall, and I might as well, it has yet to set foot outside my wardrobe...

* The Orbis printing process was developed in the 1920's, using wax cylinders to create unique and individual marble-like patterns on fabric.
