Ah! The email I have been looking forward to receiving! A 25% discount code off any order (not just sale items!) at Shopbop! Just go to Shopbop, and when checking out, enter code INTHEFAMILY25 for your 25% off!

I am struggling to whittle my wishlist down.  I have been after some leather pants (skinny ones to replace mine which are getting too big, and baggier pants for a different look). Clicking on each images should take you to their product page...

Now please excuse me as I go mull my wishlist over...

Two blasts from the past - Tom Ford for Gucci and Phoebe Philo for Chloe

One of my recent purchases has become a wardrobe staple, and a hard-working 'workhorse' of late: my Scanlan & Theodore boyfriend black jeans/pants.  Cropped, tastefully drop-crotched, they seem to work with any pair of shoes, from sneakers to stilettos, and with any outfit, from tee to blazer, to silk blouse.  I recently wore it with two favourite pieces in my wardrobe, a black and white embroidered blazer by Phoebe Philo for Chloe, and my Tom Ford for Gucci black patent stiletto heels.  Both from 'the good old days', that to me are as fresh as they day I bought them:

Outfit details: Chloe blazer, Gucci pumps, Celine Trio bag, Scanlan & Theodore pants (Giorgio Armani lipstick)
Isabel Marant Dicker boots - which I wore during the day (available here, here, here and here),
Gucci patent studded stilettos I changed into later (no longer available, but I found a similar pair here). Arum lillies from my garden...

PS. You can follow me on Instagram HERE - I am afraid I update there much more regularly and daily than I do here...

A spot of Saturday shopping: Aurelie Bidermann's Love ring

I am usually a 'statement ring' kind of girl, which has meant big and bold.  Recently I have been yearning for something understated and delicate, enter this Aurelie Bidermann Love ring.  After tossing back and forth on whether I should click 'pay now', I finally took the plunge today, can't wait for it to arrive from Moda Operandi!

Love Ring by Aurelie Bidermann available here.

Today's OOTD worn to take Lil' Brigs #1 and #2 to the Zoo:

Eairth Worker denim, Seed Heritage striped espadrilles, Willow Ltd Gauze Gather dress, Celine Paris Trio in navy, Tiffany & Co aviators and Swiss Legend watch

Black and white: Seed Ava two-tone leather espadrilles

Apologies for going MIA! I had my sister and little nephew visiting for over a week, and even though I've been pretty active on Instagram (if you haven't already, you can join me here), my poor blog has been neglected.

I thought I'd share one of my recent purchases (that didn't break the bank, thankfully), these leather espadrilles from Seed Heritage.  These things have been selling like hotcakes, so I bought them in two sizes to make sure I got the right fit.  As it turns out, I'm keeping my true size even though I found the run a bit long, and will keep the smaller size for my mom, who is finally returning to Australia next week! So excited!

Outfit details: Scanlan & Theodore boyfriend (drop crotch) pants (must post about this soon, these have been a workhorse since I bought them a few weeks ago), Celine Trio bag, Ray Ban folding wayfarers, Swiss Legend Karamica watch (i.e. the only watch I use, pretty much), SABA Kylie striped tee (available here).

 Have a fabulous weekend everyone!

xx

Susie Bubble Fashion Weeks Street Style - dancing to the beat of her own music Pt 3 - my pics of her outside Chanel Haute Couture

I have been following Susie Bubble for the longest time, including when she was posting pictures on MyStyleDiary (before she was THE Susie Bubble).  Back in the day she also used to comment here, and even wrote to me a couple of times.  So I was particularly tickled to see her outside Chanel's Couture show during Paris Couture Week, especially since she was wearing the Dries Van Noten skirt she had blogged about a month or so earlier, and that I had actually seen in Dries' flagship store the day before (in all its beaded/embroidered glory - sadly, the 36 was the only size missing on the racks, which was slightly on sale too).  I was just about to muster the courage to go up and say hi, when I heard my name being called...by none other than Peut-être magazine photographer/creative-director/editor-in-chief Nathalie Malric, whom I was there to meet.  Susie, maybe next time?

Emanuelle Alt outside Palais de Tokyo - Paris Couture Week 2013

Here are the pictures of Emmanuelle Alt I promised in my previous post.  After seeing her outside Chanel's Haute Couture show (pics in aforementioned post) I saw her later again in the afternoon at Alexander Vauthier's Couture show during Paris Couture Week.  I was (pleasantly) surprised to see her relaxing in the foyer of the 'Palais de Tokyo', with a young kid climbing around them before the show, and then snapped her again after the show...

all pics by me

Shop Emmanuelle Alt's look:
Jacket: Saint Laurent (available here and here), Jeans: J Brand 811 in shadow (don't know that EA's are these, but I have these, and love them - available here), T-shirt: Helmut Lang here, Pumps: Balmain (available here) or Gianvito Rossi (available here).

Have a great weekend everyone!

Emmanuelle Alt and I outside Chanel - Paris Haute Couture Week 2013

Ok, so the title is very slightly misleading, as I'm not actually with Emmanuelle Alt outside Chanel's Paris Couture show, but I did see her, and snapped some pics to share here. I also saw her later in the day, but will save those photos for another post... I was so excited about seeing 'The Alt', I completely didn't realize Barbara Martelo was also in front of me, until I got home and saw her in my pic on the computer screen.

Chloe by Phoebe Philo dress, Dries Van noten sandals, Helmut Lang blazer, Chanel reissue bag and Ray Ban folding Wayfarer sunglasses

Wanted to use my Dries Van Noten embellished clutch, but opted for the more practical Chanel reissue, as it was to be a long day...
 sans blazer...

This was a beautiful 'door' outside a very gorgeous (and posh) store...isn't it beautiful?
And there she is...and Barbara Martelo in the red leather pants.
Grabbed some fish tartare after the show, before Stephane Rolland's show
 The Alt
Mr Brigs had some escargots...when in France...

all pics by yours truly

(the blurry one being from my iPhone - my dress in the beautiful apartment in Marais)
