Much love for Kelly Love

Every so often I discover a new label that I become very excited about, and such is the case with Kelly Love, which I discovered sometime last year.  London-based designer Kelly Love originally hails from Down Under, and prints hand drawn feminine yet contemporary etchings onto silk and cotton, which sit alongside luxurious outerwear made with beautiful fabrics sourced in Europe and the UK, predominately leather, mohair, jacquard and wool.  Now, you all know my love for beautiful textiles and outerwear, which explains my love for Kelly Love, and she does both so beautifully.  I am even more enamoured with her upcoming AW15 collection 'Blues before Sunrise' , which will be released in August.  I am waiting with baited breath, as I am seriously head-over-heels in love with every single piece.

The collection is named after Leeroy Carr's song 'Blues before Sunrise', which inspired the designer to explore the historical towns of South Carolina in the Deep South of America.  Prints of wildflowers, thistles and succulents on a background of contemporary checks wash over silk blouses and dresses. They are feminine but not overly so, sitting alongside heavy leathers, Italian Alpaca and structured tailoring to create a perfect juxtaposition of textures.  And the knits, oh the knits!  This is the first time Kelly introduces knitwear to her label, and the result is just gorgeous, beautiful knits like a hand knitted roll neck sweater and chunky cardigans in hues of nude pink, olive green, French navy, smoky grey and buttermilk I just want to snuggle in.

This designer is going from strength to strength, recently collaborating with Anthropologie on a capsule exclusive collection.

I have her 'Flawed Beauty Coat' and literally get stopped to receive a compliment on it whenever I wear it, I asked Kelly for some images of her upcoming collection to share with you all, hope you love them as much as I do.
You can find Kelly Love at:

Need this knit in my life...look at that texture!
How beautiful is this print? Love!
My beloved 'Flawed Beauty Coat' - the Italian fabric on this is just stunning, a lightweight (yet so warm) mix of silk and wool, simply divine!
 Fluid two-toned trench? Yes please!

That print and that texture - match made in heaven.
Ok, I keep tossing between the Buttermilk knit and this Cactus knit, perhaps I need both...
LOVE a good jumpsuit, and this one is just gorgeous!

I'm back! Belated Merry Xmas and Happy New Year!

Apologies for going MIA once again, December surely did not disappoint in the hectic stakes, but it was great! It was filled with birthdays, family, food, Christmas and we welcomed 2015.

Also, in this week, I celebrated my 8th wedding anniversary (can you believe how time flies?!?). So I briefly donned my wedding dress to mark the occasion, and ate lots of yummy Japanese food after that...

In sad news, I lost my phone yesterday morning, and finally found it just now, across the street, out-of-action from having been run over by car(s) and drenched by the rain.  Goodness knows how I'll live without it, for one I can barely Instagram, and can no longer take photos with it! Oh, the horror!!!

Wore my red bow shoes this Christmas, last Christmas my Chloe Susanna boots were my 'Christmas shoes' ((available here and in black here and here)
Akira Isogawa wedding dress, Celine knot bracelet (from Departement Feminin) and Balenciaga Bow ring (from Matches Fashion)

photos taken by me on my iPhone for my Instagram.

Michael Kors 'Watch Hunger Stop' programme and today's OOTD: Sass & Bide 'Jesus is 1 in my Life' tee and red Chloe Susanna's

Through Sincerely Jules' Instagram and blog, I found out about Michael Kors 'Watch Hunger Stop' programme.  Raising awareness of global hunger and gathering people together to wear this #WATCHHHUNGERSTOP t-shirt, Michael Kors has teamed up with the World Food Programme to help feed hungry people around the world. They’ve helped deliver over 1 million meals…

As a child growing up in Brazil, I was well aware of world hunger, and along with my parents and our church, would visit the 'Favelas' (slums) to distribute donated food to the hungry.  I am very grateful to have had that opportunity, and this cause is very close to my heart.

Today, October 16, is World Food Day… try to spread the word about stopping world hunger and poverty.  Make a difference in someones life, we can all come together and raise awareness around the world.

For those of you fortunate to be in NYC, you can get this free t-shirt to help support this global cause at the Michael Kors stores at Rockefeller Center or Soho today.  Instagram yourself in the t-shirt and hashtag it #WatchHungerStop to be featured on one of the multiple digital billboards in Times Square.

If, like me, you are not in NYC, we can contribute by donating to help stop poverty + hunger HERE.

Today's OOTD (before I found out about the 'Watch Hunger Stop' programme): Sass & Bide 'Jesus is 1 in my life' tee (no longer available), Ksubi jeans and Chloe red Susanna boots (available here and in black here and here)

Oversized billowy sleeves...

Lil' Brigs #1's room, love the wall stickers from Tiny Me
Went for a little browse at the Scanlan & Theodore store
They always have the best sofa, and this new one is so gorgeous (pic doesn't do it justice)

When I got back I needed my 2nd double shot of coffee...(I usually only have one, was running out of steam)
The dress isn't that long, I just pulled it over my legs, trying to show how oversized the sleeves are on this Stella McCartney dress...
Don't let its simple appearance fool you: Felicia's 'special' consists of alternating layers of vanilla sponge, fresh whipped cream, dulce de leche caramel, peach slices and a layer of fresh meringue...yuuuummm!
Outfit of the day: Stella McCartney oversized turteneck mohair dress (a few seasons old), Louis Vuitton Elise Epi wallet, Jimmy Fairly glasses, Chloe Susanna black boots (available HERE, HERE, and HERE), Proenza Schouler Classic PS11 in black bag (available at Net-a-Porter HERE, HERE and directly from Proenza Schouler HERE).

all pics my own via my iPhone

Wishing you all a fabulous weekend!
