Miroshka Pt 5: Miroslava Duma Street Style at London, Milan and Paris Fall/Winter 2013 Fashion Week

Following on from the last post on Miroslava's style at New York Fashion Week (although the first two pics below are also from NY, I had to include them again as I could see more of the outfit), she continued to bring us beautiful, polished and fun outfits in London, Milan and Paris. 

Fab glasses! In the first pictures I ever saw of Miroslava, she wore an equally brilliant pair that caught my eye.

Hm...not feeling those boots, too go-go girl, but the hat's too cute!

A no-nonsense umbrella completes the outfit, but wait, is it matching the 'stones' on her collar?

The 'fur pompom' makes an appearance again (previously featured in two different colours during NYFW)

Remember my post on my 'Dr Zhivago coat'? Now this is a Dr Zhivago coat/outfit!

Oh my, this coat is too stunning for words, seriously!

Another gorgeous coat, and an outfit that you'd actually see on the street.

Miroshka Pt 4: Miroslava Duma Street Style at New York Fall/Winter 2013 Fashion Week

Have you all read Suzy Menkes' article titled 'Circus of Fashion'? It certainly is an interesting read about the hoopla that surrounds fashion, street style, and bloggers. She laments that the focus of Fashion Weeks has shifted from the actual presentations to the people who stand and "peacock" outside them, waiting to be captured in outfits seemingly engineered to make photographers pay attention. She writes that fashion weeks have become a "celebrity circus of people who are famous for being famous." That street style blogs that used to capture real, stylish people on the street have now been overshadowed by people trying to dress solely so they could featured on those street style blogs, resulting in over-accessorized people taking pictures of each other outside of every show.

Although I agree with some points brought up by Suzy Menkes, I also agree with several made in Leandra Medine's (aka The Man Repeller) response to the article, as well as Susie Lau's (aka Susie Bubble) 'rebuttal'. Admittedly, I still enjoy looking up to see what my favourite fashionistas have worn during Fashion Weeks, and still think that they are dressing to express their personality and style, rather than trying to catch the eye of the cameras. The fashion editors in particular, and several bloggers (Susie Lau comes to mind) have been dressing the way they have long before they had their blogs. At New York Fashion Week, Miroslava Duma's style was beautifully polished yet fresh with a touch of fun. How cute is that Eugenia Kim striped hat with the Burberry Prorsum coat below? Although I think the all-white and khaki (parka) outfits are my favourites on this page:

Miroshka Pt 4: Miroslava Duma at the Spring/Summer 2013 Fashion Weeks

When asked to described her style in 3 words, Miroslava used 'quirky eclectic experimental', it sure is, and she seems to have a ball doing so, with bold colours,  Since having her now 2 year old son, she now appreciates flat shoes, hurray, good to see I'm not alone!

Although I didn't find many of her more recent outfits (at the Haute Couture shows) much to write home about, I really liked her outfits at the Fashion Weeks preceding that:

I am a big fan of 'sporty' clothing, baseball jackets included, love the bold primary colours on this one, and that it was paired with a low-key watch and backpack (albeit a Chanel one)!

Miroshka Pt 2 - Miroslava Duma at the Spring/Summer 2012 Fashion Weeks

The Prada Resort dress worn by Ulyana (left) is one of my all-time favourite Prada pieces...GORGEOUS! The red coat dress worn by Miro' is just so striking, love that shade of red!

Paris Couture Fall 2011 Street Style: Miroslava Duma

I have long admired 'Miroshka's' fun approach to fashion, her love for colour, bold patterns and risk-taking (fashion wise, that is). I was pleasantly surprised to see these pictures below however, as it was only a few months ago that I saw pictures of her quite pregnant. Boy do I wish I looked half as good as she does post-baby, she did not set one foot wrong during the Haute Couture Fashion Week in Paris for Fall 2011, looking spectacular in each and every outfit:
