Isabel Marant Dicker boots on sale at Matches (and more)!

Public service announcement (as the title suggests), I belatedly spotted the Isabel Marant Dicker boots on sale at Matches Fashion!!!

Both taupe and anthracite are on sale, the Taupe pair here, and the anthracite pair here.

If they still had my size I was seriously considering buying a back-up, I use both of mine to death (the taupe in particular)!

My pic via iPhone - my 'workhorses' are in dire need of a clean! Pictured here: Murchison-Hume 'Spray Valet' suede cleaner to the rescue.

I also spotted more the Isabel Marant Crisi boots on sale (both brown/camel and black), the Bekett (half price!) and Bobby shoes, the flat versions of the Poppy pumps (in black and metallic) and the coveted Alexander Wang Lovisa pumps (in white and black).

So many more goodies on sale at Matches!

You can thank me later...

Pressed Juices - you can't get enough of a good thing

During my recent trip to Sydney one of THE things I most wanted to do was try Pressed Juices, as we didn't have it here then.  Situated around the corner from where I was staying meant that I was there almost daily, sampling a rainbow-ful of juices and discovering their Raw Coconut Parfait (I must've bought at least 5 during that week!).  I have always been a juice and green smoothie fan, and just couldn't get enough of it!

Fast forward a few weeks, and I finally got to visit the newly opened store here in Adelaide!  I sure hope they open more locations (as I don't get to the city much nowadays), but am so happy they are closer than say, Sydney! Needless to say I armed myself with a few bottles of juices and a Raw Coconut Parfait to bring home.

I am toying with the idea of trying their Master Cleanse - has anyone tried their Cleanses?  Basically it'd be an excuse to drink this stuff all day long...yuuuuuum!

Anyone else a PJ fan?

Bad pic - great juices - pic taken in the Surry Hills store
I could eat this all day every day! Young coconut flesh with chia seeds soaked in berry juice, blueberries, buckinis and pepitas, all in a coconut shell (I have 3 young coconuts in my fridge at a time, as I absolutely LOVE them, and so do Lil' Brigs 1 & 2)
Another favourite and must-have (especially when on the run - like I was during the MBFWA): espresso almond mylk, a coffee and breakfast on the run that is oh-so-good!

Outfit - Boots: Isabel Marant, Pants: Scanlan & Theodore, Silk Shirt: Willow, Bag: Chanel Boy
The Adelaide store - wish this were my fridge!
Another of my faves: avocado, banana, coconut water (love), cucumber, kale, lime, mesclun and pineapple - the coconut/lychee/pineapple is also sooooooo good!
My Pressed Juices haul this week, am going to try to get there again to restock today...

Outfit: Stella McCartney swing trench, Scanlan & Theodore pants, Isabel Marant Dicker boots, Proenza Schouler PS11 bag
Breakfast in a shell
Boots: Isabel Marant Dickers in Gris (available here, anthracite available here and here...), Blush: Hourglass Ambient Blush in Mood Exposure (purchased here), Yachiko Brush: Nars, Handgel: Aesop, Bracelet: Celine, Rings: Balenciaga bow (from Matchesfashion), Sarah & Sebastian Petite Pearl ring, Aurelie Bidermann Love ring (available here), Elemis Illuminating Flash Balm, Proenza Schouler PS11 bag (available from Net-a-Porter and Net-a-Porter US, and directly from Proenza Schouler HERE) and Ray Ban folding wayfarer sunglasses

What I wore: pastels and florals, oh my!

It is funny how colours can change one's mood. In taking the first picture below, I fished out this little-worn Miu Miu Bow bag I've had in my wardrobe but hardly wear.  I obsessed over the Miu Miu Bow bag for the longest time! When I finally got my hands on one, I was carting my 'baby bag' everywhere, so this was put on the back burner, and then I found it a little 'girly' whenever I reached for it.  Doesn't mean I didn't keep taking it out of the wardrobe to be admired from time to time, haha.  Anyway, I digress.  After snapping the pic, I decided to wear it over the weekend, and teamed it with one of my favourite dresses by Dries Van Noten.  Its painterly florals has me giddy like a little schoolgirl whenever I see it, ever since I saw it on the runway for the Spring/Summer 2005 collection.  Because I would feel too 'frou frou' in anything else, I 'dressed it down' with some Isabel Marant Dicker boots.  I'm not sure why I don't feel quite right unless I'm slightly 'undone', does that make sense?  Probably not.

Peut-etre magazines, Miu Miu Bow bag, Chanel ballerina pumps, lily flower from my garden in an Antipodes water bottle glass (love this bottle!)
Went on a little shopping spree at Country Road, mostly falling hard for their homeware and childrenswear (this is only a sample of what I got *gulp*) - first time I've ever actually partaken in their 'spend and save'.
My espresso coffee machine conked!!! I am so lost without it! Had to make my espresso this morning on the stovetop, and couldn't froth my milk! First world problem, I know, but I drowned my sorrows with some macarons whilst perusing one of my favourite Dries Van Noten lookbooks from Spring/Sumer 2006.
Wore this to my brother-in-law's big birthday celebration bash (take 2 - this time for family), it was a fabulous lunch at the Barossa, the kids had an absolute ball, as did the adults!

Outfit details: Dress: Dries Van Noten (seasons old), Bag: Miu Miu Bow satchel (available here), Shoes: Isabel Marant Dicker boots (available here, anthracite available here and here...).

Hope you all had a fab weekend!

Happy Monday!
xx

Two blasts from the past - Tom Ford for Gucci and Phoebe Philo for Chloe

One of my recent purchases has become a wardrobe staple, and a hard-working 'workhorse' of late: my Scanlan & Theodore boyfriend black jeans/pants.  Cropped, tastefully drop-crotched, they seem to work with any pair of shoes, from sneakers to stilettos, and with any outfit, from tee to blazer, to silk blouse.  I recently wore it with two favourite pieces in my wardrobe, a black and white embroidered blazer by Phoebe Philo for Chloe, and my Tom Ford for Gucci black patent stiletto heels.  Both from 'the good old days', that to me are as fresh as they day I bought them:

Outfit details: Chloe blazer, Gucci pumps, Celine Trio bag, Scanlan & Theodore pants (Giorgio Armani lipstick)
Isabel Marant Dicker boots - which I wore during the day (available here, here, here and here),
Gucci patent studded stilettos I changed into later (no longer available, but I found a similar pair here). Arum lillies from my garden...

Pics via my iPhone for Instagram

PS. You can follow me on Instagram HERE - I am afraid I update there much more regularly and daily than I do here...

Outfit of the Day: never too old to wear Mickey Mouse, right?

Started the day with coffee and my favourite macaron flavours: pistachio and raspberry, sitting pretty on my favourite chair by Hans Wegner (the 'wishbone' or 'ychair' or 'ch24')
Today's outfit: Uniqlo Mickey Mouse tee, Rag&Bone The Dre jeans (pale wash available here), Proenza Schouler PS11 Classic (available here, here and here) , Isabel Marant Dicker boots in Anthracite (available here and here), X Jain felted wool hoodie (really tailored/slim-fit, have had it for years, finally using it only recently)
Nars blush duo: How could I live without you?
I count at least five Mickey Mouse tops in my wardrobe *gulp*
Tea time! Bought this gorgeous cast iron in Kyoto, took forever to choose one, and 3 years to take it out of its beautifully wrapped box!

New in: Isabel Marant Dicker boots in Gris

Greetings from Paris! After a couple of days in London, I have arrived in the city of Light. Still exhausted but oh so excited! I brought these boots with me, which arrived a few days before I left, and they are so comfy they haven't required any breaking in, just like my anthracite pair. It's going to be a busy week, with quite a few shows on my schedule, and even an interview with one of my favourite haute couture designers! Hope to share more this week here and on Instagram, so watch this space!

Bisons from Paris!

xx

Black and white: Suno plaid shorts playsuit

Having worn them as a kid in the 80's (yes, I'm old) I never thought I would ever wear a playsuit again. Whilst pregnant with Lil' Brigs #2, I came across this Suno playsuit at the Lands End store in Sydney (love that store, btw! How I seriously wish they had an online store! Them and Belinda...).  I was drawn to the plaid, and thought how practical it'd be: buttons at the front, shorts to run after the kids in...A few months later I was so happy I decided to get them, they have been a staple in my wardrobe for the past year and is still going strong (wearing them as I type).  I've worn them in all four-seasons (with the help of layering in colder weather), and plan to bring it with me on my trip to Paris.

1. Ray-Ban foldable Wayfarer sunglasses (available here), 2. Suno plaid shorts playsuit (old) 3. Isabel Marant Dicker boots in Anthracite available here and here

Has anyone embraced the playfulness of the playsuit?

Have a great weekend everyone!

New in & What I wore today: Ray Ban Folding Wayfarers and ASOS anchor dress

It all started with this post by Garance Dore. A I saw the header picture and read on, my eyes went as wide as teacups: foldable sunglasses?!? Where have you been all my life? I had been considering a new pair of black sunglasses anyway, and when I read about these I couldn't stop thinking about how perfect they'll be for traveling (so these are coming with me to Paris in 3 weeks time for sure).  These are seriously brilliant, and I'm so glad I got them! Fold them and put them in your pocket when entering a store instead of fumbling in your bag for the case, or instead of pushing them up onto your hair and getting tangled with the nose pads (of my aviators), or dropping them tto the ground when you bend down. You can get a pair here.

Ray-Ban foldable Wayfarer sunglasses (I bought the polarized version - still much cheaper than any other sunglasses I own)
Ok, sorry to scare you guys, but I thought I'd show how they fit on the face.  I'm so glad I went in store to try them on, as I was sure I'd go for the bigger/oversized pair, but on trying decided on the original size. n.b. I didn't intend the photo to be fuzzy, but with the camera on timer this is the best I could do...
1. ASOS anchor dress (available here), 2. Chanel matte calfskin reissue bag with gold hardware (found one here and here), 3. Woolworths (yes, my friends, Woolworths!) fleece-lined leggings, 4. Isabel Marant Dicker boots in Anthracite (available here and here)
first pic via Garance Dore, the rest by yours truly
