I found it: the Instagram bag!

Ok, it is no secret that I have a bit of love for Instagram.  The beautiful images in square format (from landscapes to food, and occasionally, fashion) and the lovely community there make it an amazing and inspiring platform.

When I first spotted this Instagram-inspired leather bag on Vogue Italia Fashion (Gioellio) Editor Georgia Tal I had hearts for eyes (I am an emoticon over-user, not using them feels like talking without any expressions on my face).  At long last, I tracked it down, placed myself on the waitlist, and when it came back in stock, I pounced.

Sure, I will get strange looks when I use it outside of my house, and will probably get glared at by Mr Brigs (who is not uber fond of Instagram, or the time I spend there), but I just couldn't resist...

How could I?

I like big bows and I cannot lie...

For someone who doesn't see herself as particularly 'girly', I never realized how much I loved bows until recently.  I thought it was more of my little sister's trademark, but remembered I have been buying bows for quite a few years now, even back to when Alice McCall did those rhinestoned silk bow belts, remember those?

I have also been slightly obsessed with bows on jewellery, such as the Balenciaga bow rings I bought in silver for myself and my sisters.

But above all, my little collection of bows on shoes has grown somewhat in the last year or so, starting with the Isabel Marant Poppy, then the Aminah Jillil bow flats (that I blogged about previously - I loved my red pair so much I bought the cobalt blue pair as well), and most recently the Isabel Marant Pealman (which are lower than the Poppy - bought on sale from Net-a-Porter).  I'm even considering this leopard calf hair version (on sale)  available at Forward (only thing is I can never envisage myself in leopard, but am beginning to think I am open to leopard shoes if they are the right ones).

For those who prefer their bows to be more subtle I recently came across this Lois black suede pair from Madewell (on sale), and have added it to my wishlist...just in case.

Woo hoo! I was so excited to receive this email from Net-a-Porter, announcing their US site is now on sale! I quickly snapped up the Isabel Marant Pealman bow pumps I've had on my wishlist and almost purchased somewhere else last night.  A black leather version of my beloved Poppy pumps in a lower 3" heel (just half an inch taller than my go-to Valentino Rockstuds - hope these are just as comfy). Poppy love (ah...Isabel Marant, how does she do it?)

I so wish I could find these again in the original red and black...There's something about that bow that is just perfect! Not to 'bow-y',  yet not too understated...Perfection!
