Scanlan & Theodore Autumn/Winter 2012

Remember the Scanlan & Theodore event I 'recently' attended? Well, I have been sitting on these lookbook pictures for some time, and it's about time I share them with you all. I was so happy to receive these, as S&T pieces often need to be seen on a 3D body rather than hanging on a rack, taking on new life. Also, the lookbook pictures on their official website are so tiny I can barely get an idea of what the clothes look like. The brown leather top I was eyeing in stores is not in the lookbook, so I really do hope it is still there when my bump no longer is...

Now, onto the collection itself:

Flocking, sequins, fur, feathers, leather and laser cut fabrics were used by Scanlan & Theodore highlighting texture, with draping and ruching flattering the silhouette in a colour palette consisting of green and blue, along with earthier tones of taupe and slate and, of course, classic black and navy. Needless to say, I loved the draped sequinned dress and skirt, while my favourite pices were the beautiful silk blouses (with 'inbuilt necklace') and dress with sheer sleeves:

I absolutely love this blouse...the sheer sleeves, the print, the leather 'necklace'...gorgeous!

This dress is just incredibly stunning!

Still alive and kicking...

Just a quick note to you all to wave my flag hello and say:

Yes, I'm still around, and no, I haven't had Lil Brigs #2 early (still due in 7 weeks).

My trip to Sydney was wonderful, but took a little toll on my poor (not-so-little) body, I have just been fighting a bug (or one after another, perhaps) for almost 3 weeks (being 8 months pregnant and taking care of my almost-2yr old has made it that much harder)! Just when I thought I couldn't feel worse, I do...Lost my voice, got cold sweats and crazy chills, aches all over and fever...

But (enough whingeing), I feel better today than I did yesterday (when Lil J was kind enough to let me practically stay in bed all day, climbing over me over and over and over again, while I moaned and drifted in and out of feverish sleep), so I thought I'd pop and say I will back to posting soon, and have an exciting giveaway coming...

So watch this space!

Oh, and also watch this space:

My sister started this fabulous blog, which includes delicious restaurant reviews (for those living or visiting Sydney), as well as fashion...and much much more to come!

Paris Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2012 Pt 2: The Trilogy - Celine, Stella McCartney & Chloe

Celine

The leather pieces by Phoebe Philo were my favourites in this collection:

Stella McCartney

I absolutely loved the vivid blue at Stella McCartney, as well as the beautifully tailored tweeds...One of my favourite pieces was the 'sporty tweed bomber':

Chloe

Clare Waight Keller has me excited about Chloe again! Hip hip hooray!

For her 2nd collection for this fashion house, she mixed 'the casual vibe of English sportswear with the dressier sensibility of the French'. She also made good use of her experience at Pringle of Scotland, with the many knits in this collection, like the red knit sweatpants paired with a pop-over lace blouse, or a floral embroidered sweatshirt worn with a quilted satin pencil skirt.

I loved the sporty outerwear, such as the duffel coat or bomber jacket in a powdery soft peach, or dusky blue, one of my favourite looks were the deep red drop-waist T-shirt dress and the ivory shirtdress with a lace skirt.

I am finalizing packing my suitcase, as I leave for Sydney tomorrow early morning...hope I haven't forgotten anything!
