Paris Couture Fall 2011 Street Style: Full Skirts

Ever since I was a wee little girl I have been enamoured with full skirts, especially Dior's 'New Look' silhouette. Standing out everytime, was Uliana Sergienko, part of the 'Russian Fash-pack', who made me gasp with each stunning outfit after another:

Shala Monroque looks so fresh in that yellow skirt, and that floral dress is just divine...

Another Russian Fash-pack member: Elena Perminova, with a fresh, fun & flirty full skirt

Yummy mummy's: Love Sofia Coppola's fresh and effortless look, and I cannot get over Sarah Rutson's daughter's Celine bag (Sarah's dress is gorgeous too)!

PS. Tomorrow is the last day to enter my $100 Shopbop Giveaway HERE.

Street Style at the Spring/Summer 2011 Fashion Weeks - Great Lengths

Along with the 'return' of wide-leg pants I am so glad to see the 'return' of longer lengths. Mini skirts are cute, but having never had the pins for them, I favour longer lengths:

Skirts

How beautiful is that pop of blue? Especially when contrasted against that glorious orange.

This is such a gorgeous skirt by Ann Demeulemeester, and the reverse print was worn by Taylor Tomasi Hill, which was featured in this post.

Sheer skirts keep the length from being too 'heavy'

Longer lengths are not just for the flowy skirts, love this pencil skirt. Isn't this such an incredible picture! Taken by Nam of Streetsfn.

Featured previously, I like the long skirt with the slouchy sweater

Dresses

Another stunning outfit featured previously, love the layers of sheer silk...and *sigh* those Burberry Prorsum boots.

Love the simplicity of these beautiful dresses above

Milan Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2011: Pt 8 - Iceberg

Iceberg

Loved Iceberg's SS'11's simple silhouettes, scarves worn as tops (one of my favourite things to do, although I have not done it in a long time), simple rope belts, its beautiful soft palette, the emerald green & blue, and even the faded denim; but most of all loved the faux-wrap draped skirts and dresses:

Shop at Brigadeiro's: Australian (aka Aussie) designers - Alannah Hill, Zimmermann, Ae'lkemi, Paablo Nevada, Jain (prices revised)

Shop at Brigadeiro's

More items for sale from my wardrobe, these are all by Australian designers, priced to clear, as my wardrobe is in serious need of space. I have also reduced the prices of items in THIS and THIS post:

Paablo Nevada 'trench' blazer/jacket

US$89:

Beautifully constructed wool jacket/blazer by Australian designer Paablo Nevada (duo Betty Fong & Wayne Homschek) with trenchcoat elements (sleeve & collar) and brilliantly cut. Fully lined. New, never worn.

AUS/UK 8-10
US 4-6

Zimmermann Denim Coat
US$89

Love the pleated shoulders which give this gorgeous coat a subtle feminine touch, along with the pin-tucking at the front. My pictures do not do it justice, as you cannot see the fit, but it is beautifully cut to flatter the body.

Size 1
AUS/UK 8 (up to small 10)
US 4 (up to small 10)

Alannah Hill Cherry Knit cross-stitch top
US$49

The cross-stitching on this top is so cute! As are the gold 'x's along the neckline and armholes. Inside the straps are clever little ribbon & press-stud buttons to secure your singlet or bra strap (love details like that). In as new condition, the skirt below matches this demi-sheer knit top, although one can wear them separately, of course.

AUS/UK 8
US 4

Alannah Hill Cherry Knit Skirt
US$69

Fully lined, and a cute pleated style. My picture does not do it justice, as it has that slight 'schoolgirl' look...Fully lined, invisible zip & button on the side. The red on the top part of the skirt (i.e. in the shadow) is the true colour, a gorgeous cherry red...

AUS/UK 10 (although it fits a size 8)
US 4-6

Alannah Hill 'Charlotte' shirt
US$69

How cute are the buttons, and the frilled neckline and sleeves? Love the 'candy' look without it being too girly...

AUS/UK 8
US 4

Ae'lkemi cream skirt
US$89

Love this Perth label Ae'lkemi, especially their more streamlined minimalist looks...This gorgeous skirt has quite a bit of weight to it, and flows beautifully as you move.

AUS/UK 8
US 4

Bsouria brown pleated skirt with side 'tail'
US$15

This skirt is too cute! Sadly I feel like I am too old to be wearing this...the main part of the skirt is mid-thigh, with the cascading side 'tail' going past the knee, such a gorgeous silhouette, playful yet funky...

AUS/UK 8
US 4

Ae'lkemi Kimono Vest
SOLD!

Love the simplicity of this vest, with its self-attached belt, and gorgeous yellow lining, incredibly versatile...The photo does not do it justice, as it seems like the shoulders are quite wide, but they sit just on your shoulder (ie. does not stick out).

AUS/UK 8
US 4

Alannah Hill 'Coconut Ice' brown silk & lace shirt
US$69

100% silk with lace detailing and frill down the middle, cute slightly puffed sleeves...feminine without being overtly so, very versatile...

AUS/UK 8
US 4

Jain Black Wool Convertible Hooded Jacket BNWT

US$99

The tag is still attached to this gorgeous jacket. Made of a thick boiled/felted black wool, it is cut absolutely brilliantly slim to flatter your body, and hits around the hipbone. The grey marle lined hood is removable, did I mention I love details like that?
