Shop my Closet Pt 2 - Jackets

I forgot to tell you all that I added a few jackets in my 'store'.  I have loads more to add, but will wait 'til I get back from my trip to Europe.  Please note I leave late next week, so I will 'close' the store on Monday or Tuesday.  Poor timing, I know...But I've been couped up at home with two very sick babies, and I thought: there's no time like the present! So until next Tuesday, items in the store are up for grabs.

Shop my closet: Shoes!

Parting is such sweet sorrow: Shop my closet Pt 1 - Pants & Jeans

Ah, it is a bittersweet thing that I am (slowly) returning to my 'normal' weight.  Don't get me wrong, I am glad to be fitting more of my wardrobe now, reuniting with some old friends, but that means that I no longer fit some newer-made ones.  As I started gaining weight, or after having Lil J #1's, I kept buying things too small, not knowing my 'new' size.  As a result, I went the other way, and kept buying things that were too big, again, not knowing my size. In the next week I will be listing wardrobe items, many that I never got the chance to wear, some still new with tags.  Also, I started going through some clothes I had kept 'just in case' I lost my baby weight, and some I found I have already bought substitutes, or similar items, or just don't suit my lifestyle anymore, so my items will be from AUS/UK6 or US 2 to AUSUK /12 or US 8 (yes, I know!).  I will also be listing some shoes and accessories.

The timing of my wardrobe cull is not great, as I'm leaving in about 2 weeks for Europe, but I know if I don't start now while it's in the forefront of my mind, I will never get round to it.   I just started going through my wardrobe again, having had to store some of it in a separate wardrobe due to lack of space. My plan is to continue clearing my wardrobe when I get back.

I am sadly and reluctantly parting with one my most prized wardrobe possessions, because it sadly hasn't left the wardrobe doors, between being pregnant, then nursing, then not fitting into it, fitting back into it, only to find I was pregnant again...

EXACTLY as worn on the runway by Lily Donaldson, and on Chloe's ad campaign as well, in 100% green silk crepe, it is backless and closes at the side/waist with a hidden zip and hook and eye fastenings. Absolutely STUNNING!

I have been avoiding this day like the plague, but have finally (begrudgingly) admitted to myself that I will never be able to wear this dress. From Kate Moss's first collection for Topshop, this Dobby white dress comes to you brand new with tags, never worn.

This highly sought after dress was the only one I really loved from Kate Moss's 'collection', and got caught in a bidding war to buy it (not as bad as the person who paid US$700 for it on ebay though!). Purchased it in Winter, and when Summer came, I could no longer fit it! I have kept it in a clothes bag in my wardrobe ever since, stubbornly telling myself I will fit back into it, but alas, the day has come for me to be honest with myself, and to let it go to someone who will actually wear it, and who perhaps, was as obsessed with it as I was. Black one-shouldered sequin dress and slips on over the head. A knot detail sits on the left shoulder, the right is bare. Draped neckline, simple yet so elegant. White sequins trim the wrap front. I have previously expressed my love for David Szeto's designs (here). I recently went on a David Szeto 'spree'. Having bought one too many dresses that were too small, and having a particularly 'fat day', I bought this dress in two sizes (having finally learn my lesson, I bought bigger than my usual size), and have decided to keep the smaller size of the two, although I could get away with either, due to the flexible sizing of this dress. It is meant to be worn drapey and fairly loosely around the body (as shown on the mannequin), and is so flattering! I plan on wearing mine in the evening with heels, or with a striped/plain tee and leggings during the day.

This is from Rachel Roy's mainline collection, not her diffusion line, and retailed for well over US$1000.

I have not worn it myself, but lent it to my mom to wear it once for 2 hours. In pristine, as new condition.

Beautiful soft leather, fully lined, with subtle tweed detailing at the cuffs and under the lapels. Cute little round brass buttons, expert tailoring at the lapels, and two front pockets. Beautifully tailored/cut so that the hem curves downwards to be longer at the back, and clever pleating detail on the collar.

This transseasonal jacket can be worn casually during the day with a distressed tee and jeans, or in the evening with a dress and heels. I love this jacket, but the door hinges on my closet have come undone (seriously), due to too many jackets and coats (embarrassing much?). My loss is your gain.

White cotton cap-sleeved dress with oversized flap pockets and a floaty skirt. Fendi dress has a sweetheart backline and a zip at the back to fasten, a paneled section throughout, a stitched band around bust and an exaggerated waistband. 100% cotton. Dry clean.

This dress could even be worn as an easy breezy wedding dress, to a gala, or with flat sandals to a beach party, so versatile! I bought this dress with the intention of wearing it to a party, but by the time the occasion arose, I realized I was pregnant, and my chest measurements had uhum...changed (boo hoo!). My loss is your gain. The beauty of this dress is that it is easily accessorised without losing its wow factor so mirror the runway look and adorn the waist with a statement belt.

This stunning silk chiffon dress has asymmetric panels that drape to the waist on the front and back, with a pleated neckline and drop waist. It is exactly as worn on the runway, but the colourway is slightly different, it was hard to capture the actual print, the colours are not as obvious as in the pictures (more like it is shown on the runway), but I wanted you to be able to see the detailing.
