This is the outfit I wore to the Noir Fashion Event I posted about here, as previously mentioned, I was in quite a hurry when I got dressed, and realised I was using 3 pieces from the same Dries Van Noten collection. I just shrugged my shoulders and went: "ah, well! At least I'm dressed"...and ran out the door:
Dress: Rick Owens draped silk dress with pockets (I have one hand in my pocket...)
Jacket: Dries Van Noten sequined cropped silk jacket
Sandals: Dries Van Noten
Clutch: Dries Van Noten silk & leather jewelled sequined & beaded clutch
Necklace: purchased from Gaudi museum in Barcelona (love it!)
Ring: Swarovski Nirvana
(please excuse my super excited face)
In less than 2 days I leave for a short weekend trip to Melbourne, not quite a 'leisure' trip (poor hubby has the exam of his life, and is quite stressed about it), but I will try to squeeze some shopping in (or at least some window shopping)...hm...what should I pack?

my gosh, i LOVE that necklace. such a standout piece!
ReplyDeleteHi B.,
ReplyDeleteWell, Saturday was so hot during the day-perfect beach weather, about 30 degrees. Then we had this amazing thunderstorm out of the blue in the evening. Nice and ominous for Halloween night! Today is only about 20 degrees. So, unpredictable springtime weather basically, but warmish.
I think layering is the way to go- you can always add something or take something off depending on the mercury.
I do believe you were born to wear Dries- you look gorgeous as always! Good luck to your husband and happy shopping weekend to you : )
xx
Hi How are you?

Even if there are three Dries, the whole thing looks stunning. The necklace as a the perfect touch too.
ReplyDeleteLove the Rick Owens x Dries Va Noten combo. Incidentally, I wore both designers too at the same time. Check out my blog and let me know what you think. You pull it off so much better and more festive-like though:)

ReplyDeleteOk, this time when you go to Melbs, you HAVE to go to Clover on Brunswick St in Fitzroy and the Green With Envy outlet on Bridge Rd. Both sell discounted designer. I'm sure you also know Cactus Jam, etc in the QV mall in the CBD and the GPO bldg.
Also try brunch at Madame Sousou (french restaurant) on Brunswick St.
P.S I won 2nd place for my Dylon garment at the industry parade last night - so shocked! I had to go onstage and make a speech!
You seriously look like an eclectic Japanese artist/ designer.
