Sorry about the bad colourless pictures, with daylight saving starting last Sunday, by the time I reach home it's getting pretty dark already...
(the colour is actually more like the runway pic below)

Sadly I've only worn this Willow silk top twice in the 4 years I've had it, both times with jeans (better picture of the whole top on Nicole Richie, I think the runway version is slightly different as the hem on mine isn't 'hankerchief' like the one above). Love the sequins on the delicate crepe silk, it's exactly the same ones from the Dries Van Noten clutch in my previous post)
Lately I've been going through my wardrobe and picking out things I've barely (or never worn), and this is on my 'must wear this next' list. Does anyone else do this?
love the sequined details!
ReplyDeletehttp://ckuf-info.blogspot.com/
Omg you must wear this again soon, it so gorgeous. Love the sequins, it's so feminine and dreamy!
ReplyDeleteI must admit if I don't wear things after a year, I sell them (however an item like that should never be given away)
I always do this. And then find things hat I wore to death for a period.
ReplyDeleteurgh! I have soooo many unfortunate things that I have never worn. I am soooo guilty of buying solitary items that I really like but don't have anything to wear with them (or anything to wear underneath them) so they sit in my wardrobe for years until they're hideously out of fashion :(
ReplyDeleteSuperb!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry - I mistyped it. Cheese cream soup, not soap. Haha! :)
ReplyDeletexoxo: Janet
thats such an adorable shirt XD nice blog, xx
ReplyDeletethe detailing is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteand i love your presentation, British-born. sounds a bit like me with my mixed genes (chinese, finnish, brittish and swedish)
OMG...the top is beatiful...love love the sequined details
ReplyDeleteÉ fabulosa. *
ReplyDeletenice top! looks great :)
ReplyDeleteI often go through my old stuff to rediscover some gems
ReplyDeletexx
Lovely! Love the way Nicole wears it as well.
ReplyDeletethis is so romantic--I LOVE it! I can't believe you haven't worn it in so long :-)
ReplyDeleteLove the top, it's so floaty and pretty, but not overly girly with the sequins.
ReplyDeletei can't express how much I love the paillettes
ReplyDeleteOH Lord! I love that shirt, the color and the sequins are definitely in style right now. xxoxoxo
ReplyDeleteThat blouse is so pretty. The details are lovely.
ReplyDeleteI'm definitely in a spring cleaning mood with my closet, I'm really trying to force myself to get rid of things.
Oh. My. God.
ReplyDeleteThat top would only be mine in my dreams! It's so beautiful!
And thank you for such kind birthday wishes - they were sooo sweet =] *blushes*
Bisous,
La C.
It's really lovely.
ReplyDeleteAnd yeah, I know what you mean. I have a few items that rarely see the light of day. So sad.
Aghh I loove that Willow top, and it would fabulous with anything, Jeans included. xx
ReplyDeleteBrigs why did you choose the straight hem over the handkerchief?
ReplyDeleteI'm burrowing through my closet too, I can smell winter coming and there's a lot to sort though!
So pretty.
ReplyDeleteOh that is beautiful! really lovely I want one. That is the dangerous thing about reading fashion blogs you get way too many shopping ideas!!
ReplyDeleteThanks phamzy!
ReplyDeleteH - Thank you so much! I'm quite envious of several items of your wardrobe ;) I try to spread the love with my shoes too, haha, seems easier to do so with them than with clothes (as that's dictated by whether I still fit them or not).
diamondsinchampagne - Wow! That's so good of you! I told my sister I was giving myself an ultimatum such as yours, but rescinded, as I would've sold most of my wardrobe, doh! (damn weight gain!).
An (ex) alien in NY & lily - me too!
janettaylor - thanks! And ah! Cheese soup makes more sense (although I have yet to try that!)
devonbella & babieblue984 - thanks!
miriam - Wow! Yours is definitely an interesting mix ;)
maria - muito obrigada!
STEPHANIE - merci beacoup!
style du monde - isn't that great when it happens? Especially if it still fits! :)
{this is glamorous} - Thx! I agree, plus she wore it with a Chloe Silverado bag that left me drooling (got the bag in black, but it's not the same as in Python brown...)
tanya, mizzJ, miss at la playa, shin - thanks for your lovely comments! :)
the clothes horse - I feel like spring (autumn) cleaning too!Have pulled the clothes out, now just have to sell them away...
La C - you totally deserved them ;)
Thumbelina Fashionista - Thanks! And yes, so sad :( I have so many things with its tags still attached, but the bad ones are the ones I can no longer fit, as then I truly can't wear them...
uberoriginal & wendyB - thanks! :)
amalia (sauvetagedestyle) - I didn't realise they were diferent until last night! I'm quite picky about asymmetrical hems anyway, so even if I saw them in store, I may have gone with the straight hem...
Bucca - Thx! And too true! Thank goodness this one's from quite a few years ago then ;)
xx
so romantic, you should wear it !!!
ReplyDeletei always feel guilty to buy things i don't wear for seasons, even years. but i noticed i can wear years after i bought them without feeling "old fashionned" because they are intemporal pieces, just like this beautiful top.
:o I WANT IT! It's so so perfect - please wear this soon!
ReplyDeleteadorei o blog!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see how you wear it. I love to rediscover items in my closet (it's been happening a lot lately since I haven't acquired much in the last few months). It'll be so fun when you put it back on again! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteBtw, I'm "Arlene" from Friday. This is how I usually post.
Claro!
ReplyDeleteFaço listas para tudo: o que quero fazer, o que quero comprar, o que quero usar e por aí vai!
Linda compra!
Beijinhos,
Kira

ReplyDeletei WANT it. i love it.
ReplyDeletei love shirts that hang like that <3
ReplyDeletei've always seen your name on other peoples' blogs, but for some reason, thought i had seen your blog before, when in actuality, i had not. I don't know how that happened, but i finally DID look at your blog today and good lord i can't believe i've missed out on this for so long! you have spectacular style!
B, your wardrobe is my ultimate dream come true! Or rather not come true = it is not mine ;) Seriously, you have the most precious pieces of clothing I have seen on a blog so far. Gotta LOVE you!
ReplyDeletexoxoxo
ps, i've given you 3 awards :)
ReplyDeletexx
Oooo sequins! You know I love sequins! :) I've been doing this recently with my wardrobe-- spring cleaning sort of. So I can know what I can and cannot buy. Or rather should or should not!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see an outfit photo with this!
ReplyDeleteBisous,
La C.
i LOVE willow!! great call x
ReplyDeleteI picked up the same top when I was in Sydney some years ago too.. I love the mix of the sequins and silk..it felt like armor on silk to me. Sadly I have only worn it a few times too...and I have actually been thinking about how to re-invent it. Your post has seriously inspired me to do that.
ReplyDeleteWould you like to trade links? :)
I have things sitting in my wardrobe that I do want to wear but they just never seem to end up on my body, so I really must make a list and try to stick to it!
ReplyDeleteThis top is incredible, and I love the hem on your version!
beautiful shirt! the silver of the sequins work wonderfully with the delicate cream colour.
ReplyDeletewoww this is amazing!!love this top!!

ReplyDeletefuiit fiiuu !
ReplyDeleteloving the top !
It's beautiful, what a great find.
ReplyDeleteI do this quite often as I forget I have things tucked away....
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh - daylight savings sucks!! Especially when it takes an hour to get home from work in peak hour traffic.
ReplyDeleteWillow is beautiful. I have a dress from Willow and wearing it just makes me feel so so so beautiful.
I tend to edit my closet a lot and sell things I've only worn once or twice from chain-stores like Country Road, Witchery and Sportsgirl on eBay. Perhaps instead of editing I should revisit some old favourites?
