Diane Von Furstenberg Hillevi silk polkadot dress (worn with Willow silk slip dress under it, as I broke the slip that came with it)
Stella McCartney Fuschia silk pumps
Following on from my recent post, this was the first pink & grey outfit I wore last week (sorry once again for the bad/dark pic).
Stella McCartney Fuschia silk pumps
Following on from my recent post, this was the first pink & grey outfit I wore last week (sorry once again for the bad/dark pic).
Last year I spotted 'Angela Petrelli' (character's name) wearing this same DVF dress on one of my favourite TV shows, 'Heroes', I was initially tickled that we had the same dress, and realized she was almost double my age. Then again, that's what I love about DVF dresses, their timelessness. I hope to still be wearing this at 60, and look half as good as 'Angela Petrelli' did.
Off topic, I'm so so so excited about my new precious stone beaded Dries Van Noten silk & leather clutch (love the lapis lazuli!):
Onto more important things: what are your plans for this weekend?
Mine will be filled with food, friends, family & lots of fun!
love this outfit. the dress really is timeless.
ReplyDeleteah i love this! the pink of the stella shoes is so wonderful... such a great highlighter colour without being too much. and the cut of that dress is so great, i love the waist tie thing. :)
ReplyDeletealso that clutch is... WOW. when was this acquired? it is stunning! the colour is great. i'm thinking of making the gold lurex long skirt from the SS 09 collection my first DVN purchase... thoughts? i love the cut and style of it, i tried it on in barneys when i was in new york and really liked it, but they only had a size too small. I mean, i love all the pieces in that collection but i fear some of it is a little out of price range for me. do you have any hints for online shopping for DVN especially the SS09 stuff, i've done a reccy around ebay but haven't been too inspired by what i've seen.
XXX
ps yeah that harpers cover is to die for, and i want it right now. i'll probably buy it air freight, that's what i do with all british vogue now. i really need to get a subscription haha.
This is such a classic style of dress. DVF can do no wrong!

ReplyDeletethe pochette looks amazing, i like the fabric and the exotic beading.
(this week end, i take pictures at my friend victor's home, where he will be rehearsing and recording a part of his new album with my boyfriend and other musicians.
and maybe i will also take pictures of a little girl i met at the supermarket.
she was so pretty, she had such beautiful green eyes that i couldn't help asking her parents if i could take pictures of her. so we met twice at her home, we got to know each other, and we made pictures that i really love.)
