Lace was added to the humble sweatshirt, as well as to some beautifully-tailored outerwear, giving some freshness to the very feminine pieces at Jason Wu; I loved the use of lace as masks (not a novel concept, but it looked beautiful). There were some beautiful frocks, which Jason Wu is becoming known for, and the embellished a gold lace gown with thousands of metallic sequins and paillettes made me hold my breath with delight:

Beautiful luxe fabrics and classic sportswear, there were plenty of classic and desirable jackets and coats at Derek Lam FW'11. Loved the leather bodice paired with a breezy poplin long-to-the-floor skirt, and strapless stretch flannel with fluid silk jersey for evening, beautiful and flowing...

With the exception of two pairs of high-waisted draped jersey pants, Donna karan showed dresses, skirtsuits, and coats, along with a few filmy blouses with draped necklines that sometimes doubled as head scarves. Every look, without exception, had a nipped waist:
