Elie Saab
With a rainbow of pastel sorbet shades of pink, peach, yellow, mint green, and baby blue, there was a light-as-air feel to Elie Saab's collection, which I am sure we will be seeing on the red carpet:
Valentino
The designers at Valentino also sought a 'deep lightness' to their collection, with diaphanous volume beautifully exemplified in dresses with up to five layers of lace and organza.
Alexis Mabille
Even though the overall effect of the show was striking due to the headdresses and painted faces, I must admit I was mostly disappointed with this collection, with the exception of the two dresses below.
Giambattista Valli
I wasn't, however, disappointed with this gorgeous collection by Giambattista Valli, who aimed to show the A, B, C's of couture, which he did to a T:

Elie Saab and Valentino were my favorite collections among all Haute Couture! Elie Saab even more, made for princesses and top ten league. Gimbattista Valli is nothing more, nothing less than just gorgeous.
ReplyDeletebtw: Valentino was a bit weird sometimes, the structure of the fabric at some dresses looked like a 60ies plastic table cloth... :-S isaywhatwhat...
This year the Spring/Summer collections are just so stunning <3
