Thank you all for your lovely comments in my previous post!
I have barely caught my breath from NYFW, and London Fashion Week is already well underway...thought I'd start with my favourites of the very quintessentially British designers/labels:
Pringle of Scotland
Clare Waight Keller continues to do wonders at Pringle of Scotland, keeping it cool and relevant yet still classic; including huge slouchy pants with deep, standout pockets (based on fishermen's waders) worn with skinny tops...
Paul Smith Women
Bold colours, beautiful tailoring and nice full skirts, loved the 3rd & 4th outfits below:
Jaeger London
This label celebrated its 125th birthday this year, and is supposed to stand for female-friendly, practical, Anglo-centric cool clothes. It sure does...

Burberry Prorsum
Saved the best for last. Most people loved the shearling jackets shown by Christopher Bailey for this collection, my favourite pieces were the navy wool jackets and coats with wide lapels and big brass buttons...gorgeous! Also loved the ankle shearling buckle booties, really want to get my hands on those!

ReplyDeleteI think you are the first blogger to mention the Pringle collection. I am SO GLAD you did! It's one of those brands I feel sentimentally attached to & this collection seems very interesting! Thanks for sharing.

Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteHow I love Burberry! Pringle offered a few cool jackets too.
ReplyDeleteThe Burberry show was R-E-T-A-R-D-E-D.
ReplyDeleteI like the shorter sheraling jackets way more than the one's with long shearling fur... This collection was so much better than the Spring Summer 2010 - and I agree with you - not so crazy about the shearling - but eeeeeeeven more crazy about the amazing navy wool jackets! The cut is marvellous! Also the short shearling booties are too cool!
