London Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2012 Pt 1: Willow, Emilia Wickstead and Topshop Unique


Willow


Butterflies were the inspiration behind this collection, mostly evident in the collection's circular seaming, cocoon shapes, and monarch butterfly palette of orange and black. Loved the graphic effect of Willow's signature seed beading, the tailoring and draping:








Emilia Wickstead

This is first collection/time I have really taken note of this designer, and I really love this collection, while I have been disappointed by many of my favourite designers. Loved the camel, powder pink and poppy red:










Topshop Unique

Kate Phelan brought 18 years of experience at British Vogue to Topshop's in-house design team when she joined as creative director last June. And I loved the resulting collection! Highly wearable, with military and utilitarian overtones, and full hip-slung skirts:
