There's no place like home...

Apologies for my disappearance, but I have good reason...I have been in hospital with lil 'J since last Saturday night, when she was admitted with a bad case of bronchiolitis (as a result of catching my chest cold I had last week, and from which I am recovering myself). After being monitored and connected to ECG leads and an oxygen tank, the worse part of the illness has past, and she was allowed to come home yesterday to continue recovery in her own cot. I have missed my bed as well this past exhausting week, and did not set foot outside my ward in all that time until yesterday...I am posting these pictures to remind myself to be extra thankful everyday:

Lil J at her best in the hospital...it was too heartbreaking to photograph her at her worst...

  18. My dear, my daughter was in hospital for exactly this same illness 2 years ago and has never looked back. It is frightening and horrible but they recover very quickly. I was so thankful for modern technology and medicine. As I stood in that emergency ward I thought of all the mothers and children around the world who didn't have what we were being offered to help our daughter.

It's horrid. But I took a deep breath and was thankful. We are so lucky.
