Rick Owens
With complementary layers of taupe, gray, brown, ivory, and black; there was a lot of elegance at RO's FW'11 collection:
Haider Ackermann
Loved wrapped, twisted, draped, and tucked tailored coats and jackets made from leathers, suedes, and silks, all in combinations of gorgeous jewel colors. I absolutely loved this collection:
Ann Demeulemeester
The collection was all about those belts: loose, trompe l'oeil attachments, corset-laced and bunching in the back like a bustle, crushing ruffles, forcing fabric into folds. With leather leggings, wedge boots, and one of Demeulemeester's laced jackets or waistcoats, they made for a strong, dramatic silhouette.

These three are among my absolute favorite designers . . . I love Ann D. She's been a perennial favorite of mine. Rick Owens is a master of cut. But HAIDER . . . he absolutely rocked my fashion world this season.
ReplyDeleteI agree...Haider was A M A Z I N G ! ! !
