Haute Couture Autumn/Winter 2012: Raf Simons' debut for Christian Dior

The fashion world waited with baited breath for this collection, Raf Simon's debut at Christian Dior, and they weren't disappointed. Personally, I couldn't get over the beautiful floral 'rooms'/sets! One more beautiful than the other...Christian Dior's own obsession—flowers—was translated into salons lined ceiling to floor with panels of blooms: delphiniums in the blue room, orchids in the white room, mimosa in the yellow room, etc.

My favourite pieces were the streamlined rounded tailored ones, especially the black looks, and the deep-pocketed red cashmere coat dress (just gorgeous)! I think my absolute favourite was the sleeveless coat dress with 'feathered' skirt':

  3. Beautiful collection mostly. Adore the pink / red graphic print dress, so lovely. And can easily see the yellow gown being an Oscars contender.

  4. even though the collection was outstanding, i can't help but want those amazing floralized walls in my own abode. i imagine the aroma would be incredible. of course it'd only be complete with an open ceiling.
