Dries Van Noten shoes & Zambesi dress

Wore my new Dries Van Noten sandals to get my haircut today, with this black Zambesi lightweight knit tube dress. This dress is seriously the most comfortable dress I own (yes, even comfier than my silk muu muu), it's so light it almost feels like I have nothing on.

Dress: Zambesi
Sandals: Dries Van Noten
Necklace: Peruvian beaded & turquoise neckpiece
Bangles: Miscellaneous Chinese bracelets

I'm so so so excited about the Dries Van Noten Djamilla silk beaded dress I purchased yesterday. The detailing is so incredible, can't wait to wear it when the weather cools down (and even though I don't usually dress top to toe designer, I'd love to wear them with my black/cognac strappy Dries heels):

Close-up pic of the accessories I wore today :

The beautiful pair of Japanese chopsticks were a 'Sweet Fifteen' birthday present from best-friend in Brazil (so many years ago! I still love wearing them in my hair). I'm crazy about this Peruvian neck-piece I bought several years ago from Bauhaus, I'm afraid the bad lighting washed out the vibrant blue of the Turquoise stones...

  9. Oh your shoes are amazing! And I have a very similar neck-piece, I love the organic, home-made like look, and find jewelry in such styles so much more captivating than say a diamond or sparkly necklace. ;)

PS. wilkie - re: comfort, at first I found them immensely comfy (they're padded, the sole is very comfy...) but after walking to & fro to the haircut, I wonder if I bought it 1/2 a size too big (I usually take a 38, but got these in a 38.5 as I heard they ran small, and the straps were a bit narrow), but perhaps my arch is not completely matching the arch of the shoe? Will attempt again with a front pad/grip to prevent my foot from sliding too forward, and see if that helps...

Lluviaschick - Thx! It was the 'shop' part that sadly didn't work for me :(

Sarah - Thx! Look forward to your return ;) And good luck with your search!

lisa @ luxe - Thanks Lisa! Actually, my hair cut was just to keep the style (ie. I haven't changed my style in some time, if I do return to my 'normal' weight, am toying with the idea of going short, but first...must lose weight!)
