Although not as breathtaking as the last few collections, I still found lots to love about Akira's Spring/Summer 2010 collection, especially the kimono-lined sleeves which look so gorgeous when turned up:

I love Akris! Timeless with a twist. The black dress and the black and gray dress in the middle are especially lovely to me, although I also liked the first three photos and the last five . . . what am I talking about here! I loved all of your choices!
ReplyDeleteI've never seen any of Akira's collections before, but this is a definite favourite!I especially love how everything just flows. The black coat and the last piece are my favourites.
ReplyDeleteyou're right, those details are amazing!
ReplyDeleteyou look gorgeous! and all the oufits are really amazing. nice blog :)
ReplyDeleteI love it! It's very symbolic I think, in a West fusing with East in fashion.
ReplyDeleteAkira is such a distinctive voice in Australian fashion. I like the black kimono and the two dresses that come after it. Also the white ensemble with the butterfly print on the pants-gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteLoved the wedding dress link-brought back memories of my own quest for the perfect wedding dress lol ! The Akira is so much more you than the Lhullier- you look beyond gorgeous in the wedding pics btw.
I'm just sorry I missed the exhibition of his work when it was in Melbourne!

These are so delicate and beautiful pieces. I especially love the 6th, 7th and 8th outfits!

Soooo pretty!
ReplyDeleteIt's definitely all in the details. My favorite is the black outfit pic where the model is holding onto the clutch. The blouse seems so easy to wear, and I really want that clutch!
