Paris Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2011 Pt 8: Glamour - Lanvin & Elie Saab

From elegantly taupe to acid yellow, hot pink, and aqua; layered on the embellishment with pagan metalwork; fortuny-pleated flowy skirts to a tough gladiator skirt; Alber Elbaz seemed to be showing a warrior goddess, beautiful with a hard edge - apparent in the metal bracelet that cuffed the shoe to the ankle, the leather harness, and the zippers that ran up and down his dresses, back, front, and sides. It made for one stunning collection:

Elie Saab

The seventies are back at Elie Saab:

  1. Lanvin looks amazing! The movement of the dresses are stunning and I love a cut out wedge!

  2. I am not completely convinced by Elie Saab but the dresses from Lanvin are rather spectacular!

  3. Pret a Porter P - me too! The wedges look incredible! I love my perspex thin wedges, and these are even more amazing! (also much more $$$, haha)!

    Davidikus - I agree. Elie Saab was just...ok, I s'pose. But Lanvin...divine!

    Have a great weekend!

  4. I have always loved Lanvin and im adoring this collection just as much as the rest of them.
Elie Saab is only recently new to me but the collections are very impressive. Awesome colour palette.

  5. Lanvin's collection was so wonderful! My favorite look, I think, is the long red skirt belted with a red top. such an statement piece!
